Build-a-Bed Experience

THE PROBLEM
Bedding customers are unaware we have a large variety of bedding items - not just the sets we sell.

BUSINESS OBJECTIVE
Increase engagement and lift conversion of bedding items.

USER OBJECTIVE
I want to create my own bedding set by mixing and matching items.

KPIs
Lift in product page views, add to cart rate, and conversion.

RESEARCH & DESIGN
Working with our UX research team, we found very little competition creating a build-a-bed experience. So, I built a prototype in Sketch and Invision that the product team and organization felt would move the needle. We user tested it and we were astonished at the positive feedback. Users loved the freedom to create. After tweaking the experience and user testing again, I worked with ourJCP studio to shoot our products in the perfect positions to layer them over each other.

DEVELOPMENT
I worked closely with the tech lead and devs, but unfortunately due to COVID budget cuts and layoffs this experience was shelved indefinitely.
